Divar Island is one of our cherished spots for birding in Goa. It is one of the two waterway islands on Mandovi River in Goa open exclusively by ship from Ribandar or Old Goa on our side of the island. Taking the ship resembles moving over to a different universe. You leave behind the indications of all that can be called metropolitan and go into the island life. The street towards the towns on the island is a limited strip or Pugdundee with fields and lakes on one or the other side.
